Sunday Afternoon Genealogy Fun – Blog Caroling!!

Each week on Randy Seaver’s Genea-musings blog he has a post for Saturday night Genealogy fun.  Because of the time difference, I have called my series Sunday Afternoon Genealogy Fun.  My post is late this week because it took me a while to decide which was my favourite Christmas Carol.  This week’s mission was:

1)  Identify your absolute favorite Christmas Carol or Holiday song.

2)  Share your favorite Christms carol or holiday  song in a blog post, in a comment to this post, or in a Facebook post.  Please leave a comment and link here to your post.

3)  For extra credit, post an audio or video of the carol or song (almost all are on www.YouTube.com) and the words to the song.  Add the background of the song, and the artists if you can find them.

4)  Enjoy the memories and feelings that the carol or song brings to your heart and mind, and share them too!

Some of my favourites include Silent Night, Away in a Manger, Good King Wenceslas, The Little Drummer Boy, Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells, I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Clause, and one from here in Australia, Six White Boomers, but my favourite I think is Oh Come All Ye Faithful

O come, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant
O come ye, o come ye to Bethlehem
O come and behold Him, born the King of Angels

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful to Bethlehem

O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful to Bethlehem

O sing, choirs of angels, sing in exultation
O come, o come ye to Bethlehem
O Come and behold Him, born the King of Angels

O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
O come, let us adore Him
Christ the Lord

O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful to Bethlehem

O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful
O come, all ye faithful to Bethlehem
